FEATURE DOCUMENTARY

WATCH THE TRAILER

STATUS: POST PRODUCTION

CAN'T TELL is a feature documentary following Bryan Ruby, a professional baseball player and country singer-songwriter who is at a crossroads.

Living true to himself means becoming professional baseball's only active openly LGBTQ player – but with homophobia rampant, it could also cost him his career.

When coming face to face with harassment and polarizing ostracism, most would hedge their bets. But Ruby knows there is only one path for him – and while it's not smooth and it sure ain't easy – it will always be authentic.

Bryan Ruby is a Professional Baseball Third Baseman and Outfielder. He graduated from Vassar College in 2019 and has played internationally in 6 Countries and currently plays for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in Oregon.

In the offseason, Bryan lives and works in Nashville, TN. He spends the mornings doing baseball training and spends afternoons & evenings as a working Country Music Singer & Songwriter. Bryan considers himself a  proud Journeyman. He recently wrote a country song called ‘Journeyman’ and fittingly sings ‘if you need me there, tell me where, it probably ain’t too far’.
